Cast iron plants are great for the shaded garden therefore making it a great indoor plant as well! They like a weekly watering but can tolerate some drought. They are also known to be great air purifies and are believed to ward off bad luck and protect homes from negative energy.
Outside, cast iron plants are hardy to zone 7 and look great under older tree canopies and pairs well with Japanese maples, columbines and hellebores.
